Meet Our Team:
Tim McKissick, CEO
Tim’s done nothing but startups and turnarounds. IT was always a black hole; hitting an IT budget was impossible. Cloud computing has changed all that. There’s finally a way to know what your IT expense is going to be.
Tim was part of LensCrafters during their rapid expansion years, helping LC to become the number one optical retailer in the US. The founder of LensCrafters, Tim, and a few others formed a holding company to spread the one hour eyeglass concept worldwide. Tim was Managing Director of the Australian company Vision Express, which was the springboard for a Europe wide expansion. In 1990, Tim was hired by General Electric Pension Trust to perform a successful turnaround on one of their investment companies. Subsequent to that Tim raised money in the private sector for another start up and has consulted with various private and exchange listed companies. He was instrumental in the turnaround and sale of a NASDAQ listed telecommunications software company. Tim joined Bill Ruby in order to provide system development expertise in order to enhance and expand Rubiconn.
In addition to having been the CEO of a number of start ups, both domestically and internationally, Tim is a motorcycle enthusiast and has a daughter in grad school in Texas.
Bill Ruby, CTO
Bill started working with computers in his parents dry cleaning business when he was a child. This initial fascination turned into an obsession, as Bill worked at some of the largest law firms in the San Francisco/Bay Area back in 1989. Bill started Rubyworx in 1996. In the late 90’s, he became interested in shared resource computing. Bill is a master of differentiating between marketing hype and valuable technology. Cost-effective, rock-solid solutions is what he recommends.
Bill Becker, Senior Network Administrator
Bill Becker has been working with Bill Ruby since 2004. He is the heart and soul of the help desk and a client favorite. Mr. Becker also supports the other techs on staff, troubleshooting and resolving higher level issues. He’s a consummate team player, who will stay up all night to make sure a customer problem is fixed. He likes fast cars and faster computers. Rubiconn is more than a job to him, it’s a lifestyle.
Sean Haynes, Senior Network Administrator
Sean grew up in the Roseville, CA area and has lived there his entire life, but now is based out of Sparks NV. He has over 15 years of experience in network IT, supporting multiple small business networks before he joined Rubiconn.
